DESCRIPTION:Responsible for some of the world’s most sublime and truly distinctive music\, the Senegalese band fuse Afro-Cuban rhythm and Portuguese Creole melody with Congolese rumba and high life. They disbanding in the mid-80s but it was their neglected 1982 album\, Ken Dou Werente – which included many of their most famous songs\, ‘Coumba’\, ‘Ledi Njemme Mbodj’ that brought them back to worldwide attention. Reformed in 2001 they’re back in the studio recording their fourth album. Expect a night of hip shaking African music the like you’ve probably never experienced before.
