Combining opera, hip-hop and jazz singing with spoken word and dance, We Shall Not Be Moved is a moving yet brooding, often joyful production directed by well-known choreographer Bill T Jones, that’s filled with purpose and possibilities.

It tells the horrific tale of five young people who are on the run, taking refuge in a derelict house on the site of Philadelphia’s former MOVE compound.

Local police ended this standoff by dropping explosives on the organisation’s terraced house headquarters killing eleven MOVE members, including five children.
