Nina Kristofferson Sings Billie Holiday

Nina is performing her Billie Holiday & Timeless shows whilst prepping for the Nina Simone Story based on the incredible late Nina Simone.

The show promises to be a magical exploration of the past and present and Nina is using her shows Nina Kristofferson Billie Holiday Story/Concerts & ‘Nina Kristofferson’s Timeless’ as a chorus of one voice through music to the run up of the Nina Simone Story.

Nina Kristofferson describes how, “Billie’s unusual timbre tells a story like no other jazz singer. Her phrasing and timing is heartfelt as she takes you on a journey which encapsulates her many influences including prostitution, the cops, doing time and the effects drugs had on her life. Her relationship with men, her work, the abuse she suffered by those who took advantage of her. What drove her and finally killed her.”

Nina has won nominations and critical acclaim as an accomplished actress and singer of many styles encompassing Jazz & Blues to Opera. Pianist and director of music for the show is Allan Rogers. has enjoyed a long and varied career as a session musician and Musical Director, working with artists such as Cilla Black, Marti Caine, Cliff Richard, Petula Clark, and recently Music Associate for Elaine Paige and Russell Watson.
