Now in its second year, the Black Women in Business Awards was launched to recognise and celebrate the many achievements and contributions of exceptional Black Women in the UK.


These innovative and outstanding women have not only worked hard to break down barriers and stigma to become a successful, independent and entrepreneurial black woman, each in their own way has supported and contributed to the socio-economic state of the UK.


Attendees will enjoy a sumptuous 3-course gala banquet from the Mayfair Hotel in-house chef at with complimentary fine wines as well as the scintillating performance from a variety of handpicked artists


There will also be opportunities for extensive networking with some of the UK’s most influential black businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.


The Award categories include businesswoman of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Business Start-up of the Year and Social Enterprise of the Year with the winners being announced at the event,


Proceeds of the Awards will be donated to The Wulugu Project Charity, an organisation that focuses on tackling poverty through education.


The main event will be hosted Claudia -Liz Armah, currently news presenter at Sky News and Afuacost Adam with Sharon Baiden and Mz Dru being the red carpet hosts.


BWBA’s is to provide a platform for visibility of black women in business for the benefit of the whole community, echoing the words of Dr James Emmanuel Kwegyir-Aggrey (1875-1927) a Ghanaian scholar once said “If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate a family (nation)”
