Nelly was passed off as a one hit wonder when he broke through in 2000 with ‘Country Grammer (Hot…). He proved many wrong and went on to release club bangers like ‘Hot in Herre,’ ‘Grillz,’ and ‘Dilemma’.

The Chicago born Grammy award winning, multi-platinum rapper has proved that he had a long game plan in mind all the while as he embarks on a massive national tour of the UK.

His musical output include the albums Kellyville (2002), Brass Knuckles (2008), 5.0 (2010) and the recent M.O (2013).

No stranger to the silver screen, he featured in ‘Nellyville’ a BET 2014 reality show. A docu-series following Nelly as he navigates his busy career as a hip hop icon, businessman and father.

On stage his performance has been described as animated and engaging with an amount of energy reflective of his 40 plus years. His arena filling days might be over, but by all accounts he still knows how to work up a crowd like a true showman.

Baptist’s music is often compared to fellow Chicago native and contemporary, Chance the Rapper, and his soulful tracks are similarly heavily influenced by his Christian upbringing, taking his fans back to the church – an experience mimicked in his uplifting live shows.
