Have you ever come across an artist whose voice is so sublimely beautiful that you wondered why that music hasn’t been in your life? The jazz and blues singer Nina Kristofferson fits this description to a tee. Her name may not be familiar to you but don’t let that put you off. Her cleverly crafted sound is like discovering a rare gem in a mire of dross commercial music.

 

If you like your late night jazz mixed with a touch blues then Nina is the lady for you. Her music had been described as by The Times as ‘hypnotising, captivating and electrifying’.  So that gives you a measure of the high standards of her live shows set.

 

Her recent self-penned one woman show Billie Holiday Story’ received outstanding critical and public acclaim as well as nominations from What Onstage Awards, 5 Stars, Sold-Out – West End Season. Timeless, her stunning new show playing at the Pheasantry, Chelsea will be a beautiful selection of songs from Beyonce, Adele, James Brown, Etta James, Barbra Streisand, Nina Simone, and many more, crossing different eras with a band led by the outstanding John G. Smith.

 

Says Nina “I’m really looking forward to the show. Some of the songs will be in Italian, Spanish and French as it’s great to share different cultures. The show embraces great classical songs in a beautiful setting with an outstanding bunch of musicians.”

 

Nina is also an accomplished actress and some of her extensive theatre and TV credits include Mrs Vanderkieft in The Sting (Wiltons Music Hall’, Medea in “Medea” (Northern Broadsides UK tour), Bess in “Porgy & Bess” (USA), Cleopatra in “Anthony & Cleopatra” (Birmingham) and Paula Symons in “Doctors” for the BBC.

 

The Pheasantry, on the vibrant Kings Road is a spacious restaurant on three floors, each with its own unique character that adds to the dining experience. Additionally the spacious downstairs room is used as a daily venue for live bands.

 

So dress up and come down to see the sultry Nina perform hits old and new hits in her own inimitable and entertaining style. If you’re a lover of quality music and want to hear it in truly exquisite surroundings then the Timeless gig is surely one not to miss.
