Dancehall legend, Grammy Award winner and hit maker extraordinaire Sean Paul will hit Brixton Academy this November for a much anticipated one-off concert.

The multi-platinum DJ started off the year on a high note as he topped the musical charts with the hit song Rockabye. The song spending ten weeks in the UK charts as well as being as being a dance floor anthem across much of Europe.

He also scored another hit with No Lie collaboration with English singer and model Dua Lipa.

Born Sean Paul Henriques from a mixed and racially diverse family, the young Sean excelled in athletics, playing water polo for his country. Dancehall music however was always his first and true love.

Although he started recording in 1996 with some success, his big breakthrough into pop mainstream came in 2002 with the huge hit Dutty Rock.

This set the scene for more massive hits and collaborations including Baby Boy, featuring Beyonce, Breathe, which featured Blu Cantrell, Gimme the Light, Shake That Thing, and many more.

This much loved artist has managed to bridge dancehall respectability and mainstream pop culture with ease and success in a way very few others have managed.

So in demand is Sean Paul, that he said in a recent interview “I’ve been to 120 countries and it’s all a blur. I remember certain events but sometimes there are stories that people tell me and I’m like “really, that happened there?”

So expect a night of high energy dancehall singjaying at this very best from a seasoned and well respected crowd pleaser, who knows how to push the buttons to please his audience.

With backup from a delicious crew of lithe and scantily clad dancers and singers, this is going to be a party unlike any other.
