Formed of three UK hip hop heavyweights – Rodney P, Blak Twang & TY – KINGDEM will celebrate the release of their four-track EP, which includes anthemic single ‘The Conversation (We Ain’t Done Yet)’, at this unmissable intimate show.

Renowned as the godfather of British hip hop, Rodney P has enjoyed enduring success since bursting on to the scene in the late 1980s with pioneering rap group London Posse.

His three-decade career has seen him release a number of rap classics, co-host the ground-breaking Original Fever radio show on BBC 1Xtra with Daddy Skitz and present BBC Four documentaries The Hip Hop World News, The Last Pirates – Britain’s Rebel DJs and Beats and Bass and Bars – The Story of Grime.

Blak Twang is undoubtedly a cornerstone of the UK hip hop scene whose impact stretches back to the nineties, with the release of his seminal debut album Dettwork Southeast in 1996. A talented beatmaker, as well as MC, Twang is also revered for his blistering live performances and has collaborated with the likes of Roots Manuva, Estelle and Congo Natty.

KINGDEM is completed by TY, one of the UK’s most prolific and beloved rappers. Known for his lyrical frankness and honest portrayal of everyday life, TY rose to prominence at turn of the century before going on to release five studio albums, including the Mercury Prize-nominated Upwards.

After blazing stages across the UK earlier this year on their nationwide tour which culminated in a sold-out show at London’s Jazz Cafe, KINGDEM will once again showcase all that is great about UK rap.

Each innovators and kings of the scene in their own right, Rodney P, Blak Twang & TY will demonstrate exactly why they are widely regarded as icons in lyricism.

“These brothers, legends, kings showed beyond all doubt that lyrical, substance driven, home grown hip hop was not only alive, but thriving in this era of merged genres, new sounds, revitalisation, independent achievements…and mumble rap!” – I Am Hip Hop
