A Midsummer Night’s Dream (11 June-31 Aug)

One of Shakespeare’s most popular and endearing comedies ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ is running from 3 June – 31 August at the Bridge Theatre, next to City Hall.

If you want to enjoy an evening of Athenian craftsmen, Amazons, jealous fairy kings and queens, love potions, mistaken identity, Indian princes, starry-eyed love struck suitors, fighting ladies and a man with an ass’s head thrown in for good measure then this is the play for you.

In this timeless classic,  the theatre is magically transformed into a forest – a dream world of flying fairies, craftsmen, contagious fogs and moonlight revels.

The seating is wrapped around the action while the immersive tickets allow the story to be followed on foot.

Gwendoline Christie, Oliver Chris, David Moorst and Hammed Animashaun lead the cast as Titania, Oberon, Puck and Bottom in this Nicholas Hytner’s production.

Joining the team will be composer Grant Olding and movement director Arlene Phillips.
